Ingredients
– 1 box (15.25 oz) Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix
– 1 egg
– 1/3 cup melted butter
– 1/2 cup M&M’s
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. In a bowl or mixer, combine the boxed brownie mix, egg, and melted butter until a thick, cohesive dough forms. Stir in the M&M’s, reserving a few to press on top of the cookies before baking if you like.
3. Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, portion the dough into balls. Place them on a lined or lightly greased baking sheet and gently flatten each ball with your fingers or the back of a spoon to form cookie shapes.
4. Bake for 10–12 minutes for soft, fudgy cookies, or up to 15 minutes for a firmer, crispier edge. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes and Tips
- For a richer flavour, substitute melted butter with melted coconut oil or add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Press a few extra M&M’s onto the tops of the cookies right after they come out of the oven so they remain colorful and visible.
- These cookies freeze well. Freeze in a single layer on a tray, then transfer to a sealed bag for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature.
- Adjust baking time to suit your oven and desired texture — ovens vary, so check cookies early the first time you make them.
