The July, 2022 Bake Club Challenge Recipe is:

Berry Cobbler!

Topping a bowl of berry cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

This month’s Bake Club Challenge recipe is a simple, crowd-pleasing Berry Cobbler that comes together in about 10 minutes. The reward is a warm, bubbling dessert filled with plump, juicy berries that are sweet, tart, saucy, and deeply comforting. Over the fruit is a buttery, chewy topping that bakes into something similar to a soft sugar cookie, making every spoonful rich, tender, and satisfying.

One of the best things about this Berry Cobbler is how effortless it feels. You do not need a complicated technique or a long list of steps to create a dessert that tastes special. It is the kind of recipe that works beautifully for summer gatherings, casual family dinners, or a quiet night when you want something homemade and sweet without spending hours in the kitchen.

Serve the cobbler warm from the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a classic dessert that is hard to resist. As the ice cream melts into the warm berries and buttery topping, it creates a creamy, saucy finish that makes the cobbler even more delicious. It is also wonderful the next day, eaten cold straight from the pan for breakfast or an easy snack. However you enjoy it, this July Bake Club Challenge recipe is meant to be baked, shared, and enjoyed.

How to Participate in the July Bake Club Challenge:

#1. Sign Up to Join the Bake Club

To take part in the Bake Club Challenge, sign up for the Bake Club so you can receive an email each month when a new recipe challenge and prize are announced. Signing up also makes it possible to contact you if your entry is selected as the winner.

When you join the Bake Club, you will be asked to provide your name and email address. If you are chosen as the winner, you will receive an email asking where the prize should be sent. This keeps the process simple and makes sure the winner can be reached quickly.

If you have already signed up in the past, you do not need to sign up again. Once you are on the Bake Club list, you are all set for future monthly challenges.

#2. Bake This Month’s Challenge Recipe and Show it Off!

After you bake the July challenge recipe, take a photo of your Berry Cobbler and share it so your entry can be included. Your photo does not need to be fancy. A quick picture of your finished cobbler is enough to show that you joined the challenge and made the recipe.

You can post your photo to Instagram and tag it with #OfBatterAndDoughBakeClub.

Or, you can upload your photo to the Of Batter and Dough Facebook Page.

Or, if you prefer, you can send your photo by email to [email protected].

By sharing your photo, you will be automatically entered to win this month’s prize. Be sure to bake the challenge recipe and submit your photo before August 1st so your entry is counted for the July Bake Club Challenge.

#3. Want a Bonus Entry?

If you would like an extra chance to win, leave a comment and a rating for Berry Cobbler. Sharing your thoughts helps other bakers know what to expect from the recipe, and it gives you a bonus entry for the monthly prize.

That is all it takes to join in: sign up for the Bake Club, bake the Berry Cobbler, share a photo of your finished dessert, and add a rating and comment if you would like a bonus entry. This is a fun way to try a new recipe, connect with other bakers, and enjoy a homemade dessert that is simple, seasonal, and full of berry flavor.
