Homemade Eatmore Bars taste just like the classic Canadian candy bar—chewy, toffee-like squares with oats, peanuts, and a touch of chocolate.
It’s the season for baking and pulling together favorite treats for gift plates and holiday trays. This year I’m simplifying the list and making only the family favorites. Homemade Eatmore Bars are on that short list.

I first made these chewy bars last year and they were the only new treat I repeated. If something makes it back on the baking list, you know it’s worth it. They’re simple to prepare, require only five ingredients, and they’re no-bake.
What are Eatmore Bars?
The Eat-More candy bar is a Canadian classic: chewy dark toffee mixed with peanuts and chocolate. This homemade version recreates that nostalgic combination with oats for extra texture. The result is a chewy, peanut-forward bar with a subtle chocolate coating—very much like the original.

Growing up, these bars were a regular treat in my house. Now that I’ve moved away, I’ve taken on the role of family Eatmore supplier. Luckily they’re quick to make and keep well for gifting and sharing.
Great recipe! I have made it vegan and not vegan. Everyone loves it!

How to Make Homemade Eatmore Bars
These bars require minimal prep: coarsely chop the peanuts, mix the peanut butter and corn syrup on the stove until it boils, then stir in the chocolate. Combine that warm mixture with the peanuts and oats, press into a lined 9×13″ pan, and chill until set. They’re that simple.
The recipe makes a large tray—perfect for sharing—and bars keep well at room temperature for several days or in the freezer for months.
