Halloween Candy Bark is a fun, festive treat made with melted chocolate and a mix of candies like candy corn, sprinkles, chocolate pieces, and candy eyeballs.
Pick your favorite sweets from the store or use what you already have at home. Decorate your Halloween chocolate bark with colorful sprinkles, chocolates, licorice, and spooky eyes for an easy, kid-friendly dessert. 👀🎃

Halloween Bark Ingredients
- 4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- candy eyeballs
- black licorice, cut into pieces
- Reese’s peanut butter cups, cut into bite-size pieces or halves
- Kit Kat bars, broken into smaller pieces
- Halloween sprinkles
- candy corn
- Prep all toppings before melting the chocolate. Cut licorice and larger candies ahead of time since the chocolate sets quickly.
- Use a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (double boiler). Make sure the water is simmering, not boiling. Add the chocolate chips and vegetable oil and stir as they melt. Avoid getting water into the chocolate, which can cause it to seize.
- Stir until the chocolate is glossy. If needed, add a touch more vegetable oil to achieve a smooth pourable consistency.
- Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Pour and spread the melted chocolate evenly with a spatula. Quickly decorate with eyeballs, candies, and sprinkles. For variety, layer different chocolates — white, dark, or bittersweet — or tint white chocolate orange, purple, or green for Halloween colors.
- Chill the sheet pan in the refrigerator until the chocolate firms. Cut into shards with a large chef’s knife and store in an airtight container or on a plate in the fridge covered with a zip-top bag.
PRO TIP: Chocolate bark is excellent on its own or chopped and sprinkled over vanilla ice cream for a decadent treat.

Chocolate Bark Decorating Tips
- Plan your toppings so colors and textures complement each other.
- Trim large candies into smaller pieces for even distribution.
- Use what you have. Leftover bits of candy make great additions and reduce waste.
- Choose a color theme—classic orange and black, or try purple and green for a spooky look.
- Melt on the stove using a double boiler rather than the microwave for a more controlled melt and smoother chocolate.
- Spooky sugar eyes add instant charm; they come in various sizes and make the bark playful.
- Avoid water contact with the chocolate, which can make it seize. Keep the water at a gentle simmer while melting.

Cut the bark into large shards using a sharp knife. Keep pieces in an airtight container or on a plate covered with a zip-top bag in the refrigerator. On warm days, store in the fridge to prevent melting.
